I love having my stuff around me, but some days the noise/information ratio seems well out of kilter.
Whilst no-one is removing my knitted chicken/fairy combo, I really think I could use a little more rationalisation around here.
Too. Much. Stuff.
When that is partnered with no common-sense way to organise it all, I find I'm driven a bit crazy on occasion.
Come the day of theglorious revolution new house completion, I will be able to put food prep. and storage things in the Stillroom, music things in the music room, and paperwork in the study. It's not a question of space (my current house is quite large), it's a question of appropriate places to put things. And if there aren't enough appropriate places? I feel a Freecycle attack coming on...

Date: 2007-10-14 10:52 pm (UTC)I'm wondering what to do about the extra re enactment stuff, all the fabric and trimmings and the extra 'lending' copies of books we probably won't ever use again as well.
In the meanwhile, I'm scouring Freecycle for useful things to help with the move/renovations (although I seem to miss out on all the good stuff). Got some paint and going to get some ready cut firewood tomorrow, still looking for bath taps and a hand basin.
