I've been asked a couple of times now, half seriously/half joking about making money from blogging. It isn't possible on Livejournal (on the paths that I want to pursue) but the blogging skills learned on Livejournal are easily transferable onto an independently hosted blog, and you CAN make money with that:

I know you said to comment on content there, there, but I just realised that my lack of comprehension at your comments about Google Adsense were simply from the fact that my browser carefully snips all of them out before I ever see the page.... (Saying that on your money-making site is possibly not what you want your readers to see.)
