Err... Maybe I should reconsider that subject heading.

The gas man cometh (cameth?) and delivered unto me, two large red bottles of flamey goodness! We're cooking on GAS!

Which is all very well, as I had planned to have quiche tonight, and the prospect of steamed or slowcooked quiche isn't *exactly* getting me all excited.

Now all I have to do is get myself motivated to leave this computer for a bit and make some pastry, of course.

Could be easier said than done...

Pastry in a microwave? Doesn't look all pale and odd? And surely the cheesey crust on the eggy bit doesn't brown up?

Quiche in a microwave uses filo pastry - better for diets! It cooks the centre nicely, though, but no, no browning.

Come to think of it, you're right, Mel did join after you'd gone. melismobile is her LJ id, but I have an idea she's away this week anyway, and it was a long shot. Tell you what, when you've got the thing photoed and ready to go, put a note on the Far Isles list.
