Stunt Tim

Tim unwisely agreed to be put on the publicity for a folk club/open mic night in the next village. He now cannot make it, due to being somewhere geographically unhelpful.

This means that I now have to go and be a stunt Tim.

I'm not at all sure whether this prospect worries or excites me. Of course I *can* do stuff without Tim - I'm sure that most people who read this blog have seen me perform on my own in circles and stuff. It's more a question of not having done the whole, "get on stage and do a spot, solo" thing before. We've always come as a duo, and suddenly I need to be a solo.

It's an odd feeling.

I'm apparently needed to do two floor spots of two songs each. Currently planning on:

* Temple Bruer (guitar)
* Dead Men Walking (harp)

and

* Leaves of Life (acapella)
* The Wedding Song by Jack Hardy (harp)

Of course, the habitually difficult part is walking into the place on my own. I'm hoping that Liam UTMP will be there, as well as Knocker and his missus, Terri (who should get work as Imelda Staunton's stunt double).

Honestly, the sooner Tim can afford to be a full-time musician, the easier our lives will be :-)
