What Tim has been doing.
May. 22nd, 2008 05:49 pmTim has been in Dorset, filming with The Mellstock Band in "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" which is the BBC's flagship costume drama for this autumn.
He's not playing a big part and doesn't get to speak, but he *is* playing drums for the village dance at the beginning, and possibly at the end (we're guessing where the scene goes in the chronology, using call sheets and a good knowledge of the book).
He sat next to Gemma Arterton in the makeup trailer, eating bacon butties whilst he had his hair and beard cut. How cool is that?
The more observant amongst you will note that I just said "had his hair and beard cut". Oh yes. I used to have a hairy, scary, beardy husband. Now I have a short-haired husband with a moustache. It's a bit of a shock. I haven't seen that chin for 15 years or more. I'm quite envious of the fiancee of Tim's fellow musician who got the "mutton chops" beard trim, though. I think he'd look quite cool with a victorian beard :-)
I will try to take some pictures and post them later, so you can all point and be astonished...
