GRRRRRR!!!!
Nov. 5th, 2007 01:52 pmTechnology: so wonderful when it works. So frustrating when it doesn't. For a month or so, I've been getting the following error message when attempting to download my email:
"Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'Annie's Email', Server: 'pop3.walkerwork.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F"
Normally, this can be overcome by restarting Outlook, restarting the router or restarting the computer.
As of Saturday, none of the above are working. I have restarted everything. Same error message. Have checked Tim's email (on same pop3 and network accounts), it is working fine. Tried to turn on the Mac and check my email there.
Mac dead.
Why ME!!!????!!!!!
I'm feeling a tad harrassed at the moment.
And attempting to download Thunderbird, to see if it's an Outlook problem.
*sigh*
