Trip to Harrogate.
Nov. 3rd, 2007 12:44 pmI'm so excited - we're off for a couple of days next week, and there is absolutely NO work involved! We don't have to gig anywhere, cart stuff around or anything! W00t!
We're off to the Homebuilding and Renovating Exhibition in Harrogate, which is a lot of fun when you're building your own house. It's nice to wander around stalls and dream, and we're looking forwards to it immensely. It also involves staying a couple of nights in a hotel on OUR OWN!!! No children, no programme stream, no nothing :-) All there is to do is talk to each other, read, swim, and so forth. It's going to be fab :-)
I'm most excited about this because we're not driving, but taking the train up and back as part of the hotel package we've booked. I'm feeling all eco-friendly, and am looking forwards to arriving at our hotel calm, refreshed and having read a good part of a book already. I don't remember the last time we actively *chose* train travel without there being a compelling economic or organisational reason for it, so this feels like an experiment in different living. I want to do this more often, and this is a step in the right direction.
Yay for time off doing fun things with my husband!!!
