Mar. 20th, 2007 02:39 pmWhat's with this weather, then?
I'll tell you. It's our fault. We're pouring our foundations today, so *of course* it is going to be a series of huge blizzards. Silly us for thinking otherwise.
Exciting/disturbing comment of the day came from our concrete waterproofing man (who looks *exactly* like season 5 Garibaldi, I'm telling you) who said, "I see no reason why you couldn't have the roof on in 3 weeks."
Really? I can't believe it myself, but anything *like* that timescale would be very exciting indeed! Of course, there is a whole bunch of work still to be done after the roof is on - external brickwork, electrics, plumbing, joinery, windows, doors etc. But having a structure I can walk into? Pretty darned exciting, I can tell you!
