When feeling low...

... I recommend putting on music by Talis (I'm opting for "Appleby Fair" - one of the best things she's ever written IMHO - certainly makes me happy), lighting a scented candle and making homemade soup.
In other news, Ebay purchase of the century came through - Tim bought a dress-up jacket:

for just over a quid. It came today, and it's *lovely*. Whether it fits remains to be seen, but it looks rather spiffy. Even if it doesn't fit, it'll be a perfect swap with Liam for one that *does* fit.
Also my Mum sent me an *un-birthday* present - a digital inside and outside thermometer. This really appeals to the weather-geek side of me... It's 6 degrees C outside currently, and dropping. Warmer than this morning, but heading back to the "Bloody freezing" side of the Force.
And can I just pause for a moment to say how glad I am that Tattercoats is in my life again?
Actually, glad doesn't even begin to cover it. Excuse me whilst I go listen to her sing and thank every god and goddess we both know that bridges can be built over the most unfordable torrents.

Thereby proving I had good reason for my belief in both of you on that count. I've never been happier to be proved right! *Bhigghugs*

Date: 2006-03-14 08:46 am (UTC)I don't.
Don't get me wrong, I *LOVE* Talis's music, but when I'm rfeeling low I usually need to listen to something that will push me to the point of having a good cry and gettign it all out of my system. The Carpenters are usually a good bet... or Phil's Golden Gypsy which never fails to put me into floods of tears.
Most of Talis's cheers me up too much to get the low out of my system.
