In the land of the big-footed child...
Apr. 28th, 2007 06:39 pm... the small footed woman is queen.
Went to get E. some new summer sandals today. Whilst standing in the kids' section of the shoe shop, I noticed that whilst I usually deplore the fact that children's fashions are often just like the adult versions of the same thing (I think children should be allowed to be children for as long as possible - radical, eh?), it did mean that there were a lot of REALLY nice little girl's shoes. And apparently "little girls" now have feet up to a size 6. My feet are *considerably* smaller than that. So I got myself a pair of Skechers satin and jewelled platform sandals for £15. The adult versions of the same shoes (more muted colours and less spangles - ie: more boring) cost £25.
I'm pretty darn chuffed. I have virtually no summer shoes - I've worn the comfy and nice-looking ones out, so I really did need these.
Yay!
