However, my current sort throat tells me that some bastard cold germ took advantage of my weakened immune system to attack. Cold is on the way. Boo!

And could someone, anyone, tell me why potatoes kept in a vegetable basket in a totally darkened, cool cupboard shoot so much more quickly than those in eggboxes in the warm sunshine of my windowcill? Should I take up storing my eating potatoes in warm, sunny conditions?
