When technology just doesn't cut it...
Sep. 3rd, 2006 08:02 pmWent out today to visit (a) the supermarket and (b) the copy shop for copies of houseplans.
Most disappointed in the supermarket which I *used* to consider a good place to shop - Morrisons. It used to be a smallish, local kind of supermarket - restricted mostly to the north and stocking a good range of stuff (and a fabulous pie shop). It's the first time I've visited it since we started our organic/green kick. The organic things were VERY few and far between, poorly labelled and almost impossible to find specific things (ie. I wanted organic cream. No show. I wanted organic chicken. No show. We found organic couscous, but it wasn't what I'd intended on buying! Argh!). We did what we had to, and left. I don't think we'll be shopping there again unless they have a very well-publicised about-face. Maybe I should write to them and say so, as well...
However, whilst in the copyshop (and stationery store), Tim bought a new diary. I don't have a diary, because I have his old T3. However, I keep forgetting to charge it. Or take it with me. Or turn it on, even. I'm a bit crap like that, sometimes. I noted to Tim that the only time in my life that I've been really, truly organised was when I owned a filofax. So guess what we walked out of the store with? Oh yeah. I actually own an honest to goodness filofax again! I feel all organised already! It is extra fab because it has an integral purse and enough slots to put ALL my bits of plastic and business cards into! Whee!!!
However, in entering all the various bits of data from all over (some on the backs of receipts, some pinned on the pinboard, some in Tim's diary etc.) I have come to realise that I may have doublebooked some things.
Ulp.
I will be getting in contact in the next few days with those who I may have slighted. Please don't kill me. Rest assured that now I have my filolife, that it WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!!! (Cue backlit shot of Annie holding filofax aloft, shaking it to the heavens and shouting, "As God is my witness, I'll never doublebook myself again!!!" - in a bad southern accent...)
