This is driving me totally bugshit. I need help, and I figure that LJ might just be the place.

I have these uh... ever-so-slightly pirate-ish PSP games on DVD. I tried to load them onto Jared's PSP, only to find that his memory card was too small. He got a 1Gb card for his birthday, and I've tried loading them again.

Still no joy.

They are *there* OK, as the card has less memory available. But when I try to access "game - memory stick", I get "no games". It's bloody frustrating. My learning curve has been steep, so far I have found out that:

You need to *enable* USB sharing on the PSP to get it to show up on my computer at all.
.RAR files need WinRAR to unzip them.
I have more control over my temper than I ever suspected. How I never threw both laptop and PSP across the room, I'll never know.

So, this is what I'm doing:

1. Enabling USB sharing on the PSP after plugging it into laptop. Shows up as a removeable drive, no worries.
2. Go to "Ahoy there, me hearties!" DVD and select game I wish to use.
3. Open WinRAR and select "extract files to..." and select either "desktop" or "E drive" (the PSP)
4. Press "Shiver Me Timbers"! Sorry, "Extract" and watch the little progress bars and flashy lights.
5. Confirm that *something* is on the PSP.
6. Go to game>memory stick and open it.
7. Curse. Loudly. In several languages, as "no game" displays.

Any suggestions? Please?
